I wanted to create a painting that depicted motherhood while still being something anyone can hang in their home, so as soon as I stumbled upon a photo of a mother grizzly with her two cubs I knew it was the perfect thing to paint. There is something so beautiful and serene watching a bear relentlessly care for her offspring, even when all the odds are against her.
The more you look at this painting, the more your eyes find to explore. From the subtle hint of autumn in the trees behind, to the shy cubs, wherever you look, you can find a sense of peace.
